The word ANNATÉ is Italian for vintages. Because each vintage has its virtues, challenges and definitive qualities, several vintages were combined to create this bottling of ANNATÉ. We found that the resulting wine marries and transcends the best aspects of each year that lies herein. This proprietary blend includes Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon and Petite Sirah.

ANNATÉ II is a blend of 2006 Syrah and 2007 Cabernet Sauvignon from our family vineyard - Mia's Vineyard - in Paso Robles, combined with 20056 Petite Sirah from Huer Huero Vineyard in the same appellation, and a touch of the 2006 Annaté I blend.

Inviting aromas of cherry, currant, with a touch of smoke. Aromas follow through into the palate, combined with rich full tannins.

This single-barrel blend was bottled in February 2009, allowed time to integrate in the bottle and released the following Spring.
